ABOUT ME

My name is Anthony, and I have been a traveling physical therapist since 2014. Coming out of PT school, I had never really heard about travel positions or what made them different from a full-time staff position. I don't remember exactly how I became introduced to it, but I remember "googling" 'traveling physical therapist', and seeing so many different things that peaked my interest even further. At the same time, however, I questioned its validity because it seemed almost "too good" of an opportunity.

Needless to say, 6 years later I am still traveling and completing contract work. Had I not taken the initiative to seek out more information about travel therapy, the course of my professional career, as well as personal life, would look a lot different than it does today.

I created this platform as a networking channel to help share my knowledge and experiences as a traveling therapist thus far. Whether you are just hearing about a traveling position in your field for the first time, contemplating if it is the 'right' decision for you, already traveling on contract assignments, or simply just looking for more information, this was created to help provide information and insight from experience, and help to guide you in the right direction.

Over the years, I have been approached by former classmates, colleagues, and acquaintances for information about traveling healthcare positions. Whether it be in the field of physical therapy, nursing, occupational therapy, speech therapy, respiratory therapy, or any of the other great allied health professions, there are great traveling opportunities available.

I created this website to share my knowledge, insight, and experiences as a traveling therapist I believe most do not pursue a traveling position because they are uneducated about the many benefits it has to offer, and the uncertainty of what to expect.

Embarking on my traveling therapist journey has allowed me to see and experience things in different parts of the country I'd have never probably done if it wasn't for taking a leap into what at the time was 'unknown'.
